Where Oklo stands now
Oklo combines prospective power ownership with fuel, isotope and engineering activities. June unrestricted cash and securities provide a dated development base, while the new $1B ATM can expand share supply. Demonstrated Groves operations do not establish Aurora revenue or project returns. Primary source · Primary source
An authorization milestone is one step in a longer construction, fuel and operating path. Design execution, licensing, fuel availability and construction economics can change cost and timing. Customer capacity announcements and letters of intent can leave pricing, delivery and termination terms unresolved.
The constructive case
Substantial dated liquidity, technical progress at Groves and fuel relationships can support development if remaining permissions and construction translate into usable commercial assets.
The cautious case
A build-own-operate model retains capital intensity and project risk. New shares, cost escalation and delayed delivery can weaken per-share economics even as announced capacity grows.

Aurora deployment and Groves isotope operations are separate tests
Aurora-Eielson is a separate planned project at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. Oklo’s project page describes site characterization, ground investigations planned for late 2026, and a target of operations in the early 2030s following NRC licensing and other federal approvals. The design aims to supply at least 5 MWe plus steam for the base. This remains a development target, distinct from the Idaho project’s DOE pathway and timing. Oklo Alaska project page.
The central deployment target in the June 2026 report is the first Aurora powerhouse in 2028. Management calls that target ambitious and links it to supply-chain, construction, macroeconomic and design challenges. Source It is a company objective, not a regulator’s promised completion date. For a trader, the relevant question at each update is whether the remaining work has become shorter, better defined and better funded, or whether a distant target is simply being repeated.

Red flags
- Aurora’s deployment objective is conditional on several remaining steps.
- Groves isotope criticality is not commercial Aurora electricity delivery.
- Fuel letters of intent and customer capacity announcements do not establish final project economics.
- ATM capacity can dilute holders and is not cash already raised.
